Numerical Analysis of Serrated Chip Formation Mechanism with Johnson-Cook Parameters in Micro-Cutting of Ti6Al4V

Previous studies have reported significant differences in the Johnson-Cook (J-C) parameters of Ti6Al4V alloy. Thus, various serrated chip morphologies, cutting forces, and temperatures are obtained when different constitutive used for numerical simulation analyses, which decreases reliability model. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate analyze errors due J-C parameters. In this study, mechanism formation thoroughly analyzed using uniformly proportional The sensitivity, shear band spacing, segmentation frequency, serration intensity, temperature field, strain energy, force obtained. This study aims improve accuracy micro-cutting models, as well a reference selection with manufactured heat treatments additive manufacturing.
